Hey guys these are pictures I took of my friend who is thinking about going into modeling. The purpose of us going out and taking pictures was because I love taking pictures and aim to learn how to take good pictures that don't need little to no editing and she was wanting some pictures to start a portfolio for modeling. These pictures aren't edited and are the originals.
Please let me know what you think about them and how you think I may improve! Thank you!
For the subject, I really dig the asymmetry in her stance; it feels very balanced whilst keeping the organic touch of asymmetry. For the composition, I'd say I favour the upper one. The subject is offset to the right half of the frame which exposes the background, giving a great sense of depth - especially with those repeating parking meters. In the second one, the fact that she's looking down gets you curious as to what she's looking at; however since you cannot see below her shins, it shatters that curiosity (for me).
ReplyDeleteQuality use of lighting and depth on both!
Thank you so much! :)
