Film Photography

In high school I discovered film photography and fell in love with the whole process.  It is one of the most rewarding things to go through such an arduous process but then see an image you created appear before your eyes.  I love doing experimental things, especially using the actual film and the printing process to create unique framings that become a part of my pieces. I hope my images are clear enough, and that they aren't too messed up from the scanner! Thanks for looking at them :)

  1. Hi Jillian. Thanks for posting. I really like your photography. Have you ever heard of La Jetee? If you haven't, I think it's worth checking out. It's a short film (all in black and white photography and haunting music) that inspired the movie 12 monkeys. It's a gorgeously shot film and you might find it inspirational for your photography. Keep posting!

  2. I took a film photography class last year and I know how complicated a process this can be. This looks so awesome! I absolutely love your portraits! I would love to see more of your work!
